Aligning Our Allegiances For The Anointing To Flow at Full Volume

Now that my transcribing output has been able to increase and speed up I thought I would use the time to start going back into the wealth of the archives of City Church International and typing them up too as well as keeping in step with the preaching output from this incredible church in Hong Kong this year. And where else or better to start than the very significant time in June 2007? I heard Rob mention this event when angels turned up at City Church International in July 2007 in Brighton and I was absolutely riveted! This was new to me.

So this is the transcript of the actual sermon that Rob preached the Sunday that the angels turned up. Fortunately the recording was left running and it is possible to get a strong sense of the anointing that was falling on the church. The sermon itself is incredible. I've heard many sermons on "unity" that seek to blackmail the church of God. This doesn't even have a hint of it. There is some amazingly humble teaching mid-way through on marriage as well. I can honestly say it is the first teaching on marriage that I have benefited from as a single person.

So here it is! Preached on Sunday 10th June 2007 - the day that two angels arrived at City Church International!

"Why don't you open your Bibles please to Psalm 133. This week while I was training in the gym I felt God gave me a very clear word for this morning. He said "I am bringing City Church International into allegiances of alignment for the anointing to increase". Psalm 133;

"How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity - it is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, down on .... even life forevermore".

See the anointing comes when there is a unity. The blessings of God are commanded when the people of God live together in unity. Turn to Romans chapter 15. I want to give four Scriptures here on how important unity is. Reading from (vv1, 5, 7);

"We who are strong ... give you a spirit of unity ... with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ". (v7) is a MASSIVE verse; "Accept one another then just as Christ accepted you".

Then 1st Corinthians chapter 12;

(v12); "The body is a unit ... form one body ... we were all baptised by one Spirit into one body ...". (v25); "one part suffers then every part suffers with it".

Then Ephesians chapter 4:2-4;

" ... with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling".

Then Philippians 2:1-7;

"Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ" - Notice those words "from united with Christ" - we relate to other people to the degree we realise we are united with Christ. We do not preach the brotherhood of man - we preach the Fatherhood of God. The brotherhood of man can have no unity if there is no fatherhood of God to which we are related to in Christ. "... if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men".

When there is a spirit of unity in the body then God causes the anointing to flow down and then it pervades the body and drips down our tunic and there He commands the blessing. The unlimited power of God to do the works that Jesus did and greater works is available now to the church! That anointing has been available for two thousand years since the finished work of the Cross and Resurrection. The power that Jesus operated in His human body is available to the body of Christ in the earth right now. It is not how much you pray that makes it flow or how holy you are or you meriting it or deserving it - since the Cross God turned the tap of the supernatural power of God on and it has been flowing constantly for two thousand years!

I wanted to show you a five inch hosepipe and the tap turned on full! I have had this experience before in Australia while watering my garden. The tap is on full and the water is coming out the hosepipe! It is spraying the dogs and cats and everything! Suddenly nothing happens! I check the tap and it is on full blast! But I notice in my excitement and fun that the pipe has got bends and twists and kinks in it. I didn't need to turn the tap on but get the kinks out of the hosepipe and get them straight again! I believe as a local body this is a pretty well united church! We are known in different parts of the world for the Presence of God that comes into our meeting.

The Lord says there are four areas that we need to work on getting the kinks out of our relationships so the full volume of the anointing can flow.

Winners play on teams and losers hide in crowds. Lots of people come to church but very few people BECOME the church. The tragedy is not that people are dying but that so many people are living for nothing. There is nothing more important on the earth than the church! By you building this church with Jesus you are doing the most important thing in the world because the church is the main agency of the Kingdom. If we get thousands of people saved out there but no strong mature church to add them to then they will be baby Christians for the rest of their lives. The church is the passion of Jesus! Not people coming to church but people becoming the church united with the common purpose of seeing Jesus glorified!

Four kinks in our hosepipes;

1. Our relationship with the Living God.

How do you have continual perfect peace with the living God? He is absolutely perfect and everyone is imperfect! How do you have no kinks in your relationship with God? No condemnation but perfect peace 24 hours a day? If you have a kink in your relationship with God then He can't download the fullness of His anointing in your life. How do we have no separation every split second of every second? It is very simple to have that kind of relationship with God! We have to repent! Repent of our self-righteousness! The false religious system in this world says if you will do good and try and avoid doing evil then you will get so close to God. That lie preached in all religions is from Satan himself and not God! When Satan came to Eve and tempted her to eat, he said; "You will be LIKE God". Without trying to be insulting to Mr Devil I have never heard anything so stupid in my entire life. The Bible says that Adam and Eve were already made in the image and likeness of God! They didn't need to eat to become like God - they were already like God! Eating of the knowledge of good and evil did not bring the power and Presence of God on their lives - it made them hide from God, it made them confused and scared of God!

So for thousands of years mankind lived with a big kink in their hosepipe with God. Then God introduced the law of God during the time of Moses.

The law is the knowledge of good and evil! The law is perfect, holy and good. It shows you what is good and the evil that you shouldn't do. But what does the Bible say? Why did God introduce the law? Did God introduce the law to make us more holy and righteous and to bring us closer to God? Not at all! Romans 5:20 says that God introduced the law to increase sin in mankind! Romans 7:5 says that God introduced the law to arouse sinful passion in man! The law drove people further away from God! The law made people judgemental and harsh with each other! The Bible says the law condemned and cursed men! Then when Jesus came 1700 years after the law He came with grace and truth.

But to the Pharisees who believed they could be made right through God by the law - Jesus taught the law even HIGHER than Moses taught the law! He did this to show the Pharisees that they weren’t living up to the law and the law condemned them and none of them were righteous whatsoever! To the humble and broken Jesus taught grace, mercy and favour. Because God wants the human race to know that He isn't interested in our religious attempts to impress Him with our law keeping one bit! God is only interested in His infallible righteousness that is given to us as a gift freely through His Son! Romans 5:19 says through the disobedience of the one man all were condemned but through the obedience of the one Man many were made righteous!

Your obedience and my obedience never ever produces righteousness! It is the obedience of the one Man that has given us the gift of right standing with God forever! This is a fool proof, failure proof and Satan proof righteousness! Because if it depended on the level of my performance then it wouldn't be failure proof because there is not one day where I can keep the law 100% but I live in faith that every split second of every day I am right with God because my righteousness is based on Jesus Christ obedience and never on mine!

Your obedience and my obedience is important but if you ever shift the ground of your confidence before God from Jesus obedience on your behalf to your obedience then you have just put a big kink in your hosepipe! It is called becoming self-righteous. Self-righteous people are judgemental, critical and legalistic and they do not have the power of God. On the Cross Jesus absorbed you into Himself. Colossians 2 says He absorbed the laws and codes that stood opposed to you and He CANCELLED them! He redeemed you and me from the curse of the law so the blessings can come to us freely! Everything about you that could be judged was swallowed up and absorbed into Jesus Christ! Everything you have done past, present and future was totally removed from the memory of God! Jesus who never sinned once was made your sin so that you and I who don't live obediently all the time can be seen as TOTALLY righteous ALL the time in God's eyes!

You died in the body of Jesus! That is what the Bible teaches in Romans 6 and Galatians 2. You were buried with Jesus, united with Him in His resurrection. When He came out the grave so did you. You were co-ascended to the heavenly realms with Jesus and are currently coseated with Jesus in heavenly places! You are not trying to get to heaven - you are in heaven already with Jesus! Romans 5:20 says that where sin increased grace did MUCH MORE abound! What it is saying is that the law of the Old Covenat made people sin more but the grace of the New Covenant empowers us to get strength and mastery over sinning as well!

Romans 6:14 says that sin will not have mastery over you because you are not under law but under grace! When sin increased through the law grace came in abundance to take away the mastery of sin off our lives. When people say that if you take the law off me then nothing is left to restrain me from sinning - people say but if you take the law off me then I can go out and commit adultery! They are giving a revelation of the adultery that is in their hearts. Because the law stirs up sin but grace gives us mastery over sin. Galatians 3:24 says that the law was put in charge to lead the human race to Jesus Christ. The law was to be so severe, perfect, holy, harsh and beyond the standards of man so that we would admit we have absolutely no hope but to depend on Jesus Christ.

The Bible says in Galatians 3 that now we have come to Christ we are no longer prisoners of the law and Romans 7 says we are dead to the law so that we may bear fruit to God. So we must love the law of God for the REASON that God gave the law. If you love the law because you know that the law was meant to lead you to God then you will get closer to God and more humble and more anointed. But if you love the law because you think it makes you more holy and more righteous then you will get further from God and you will get more self-righteous. The law has gone! All I have got is grace and love and mercy and blessing! Not dependant on my performance but on Jesus! What is left?! Permanent joy, happiness, signs and wonders, unity! 100% of your relational problems is based on what I am talking about today. From the Old Covenant to the New God totally changed the way that He relates to you. Under the Old Covenant God only relates to you through the law and never by grace. Under the New Covenant God NEVER relates to you through the law but ONLY through grace!

Hebrews 8:6 says we have a better covenant with better promises and a superior Mediator!

Under the law God demanded of you a perfect righteousness but under grace He provides for you His perfect righteousness.

The law says do - do - do but grace says it is done - done - done! You have perfect peace with God! At the Cross Jesus Christ identified with you and me at our very worst so that we can identify with Him at His very best. There is no height of intimacy and close communion with God that you cannot ascend to because there was no depravity that Jesus would not descend to on our behalf.

One of the most ungodly selfish sinning churches in the New Testament was the Corinthian church. They were having sex with temple prostitutes, getting drunk and were divided, they were very immature. You would have thought that Paul would have written to them, put them under the law and put rules and regulations on them. Paul does not do that because he understood as an apostle better than any other ministry that they did not understand grace but had law thinking! The clearest teaching in the entire New Testament about the superiority of grace over law is given to the most sinful churches in 2 Corinthians 3. Paul says in this chapter that those in the law - that was written on tablets of stone was a ministry of death and condemnation that drives people away from God. We are competent ministers of the New Covenant not of the letter that kills but of the Spirit that gives life. The glory of the Old Covenant was a fading glory compared to the glory of the New Covenant that gave the gift of righteousness! Paul says under law Moses had to hide his face with a veil so the people could not see the glory shining out from his face.

The glory of the Old Covenant revealed God's opinion and view of you through the law. People didn’t want to see that glory. They hid from God! The glory of the New Covenant shining in the face of Jesus is His opinion of you through grace. We are nearly finished point 1! The next 3 are going to be much quicker! This was my most exciting day in Hong Kong because the message of grace is being preached in clear Chinese today! Thousands of Chinese can hear the message of grace in their own language! Now Paul as an apostle noticed false teachers were continually seeking to blur and mix the Old and the New into confusion.

For many of God's people didn't know whether we were under the Old or the New Covenant. It was a confusing mixture! It seemed like nothing else made Paul as passionate in his anger as when people mixed the Old and New Covenant. Paul warns in Galatians 5 that if you try to get close to God through law then you have made Christ of no value and have alienated grace. Today it is the same. I really say this with pain. Today many are hearing a mixture of the Old and New confusingly blurred together. You are either under total law or total grace but you cannot be in between! It doesn't exist in the Bible! In Deuteronomy 28 God said if you will keep the law perfectly then you will be blessed but if you don't keep the law perfectly then you will be cursed!

You see the precious people of Israel cursed and cursed and cursed. It wasn't just Hitler that killed six million. It is the normal story of the people of Israel. Through the obedience of the one man many will be given the gift of righteousness! How many of you believe that the obedience of Jesus was full! Where are you positioned today? You are positioned in the one who was perfectly obedient and ALL His obedience is credited to you! In Christ Jesus all the blessings of Deut 28 belong to the church and all the curses do NOT belong to the church in Christ! If you look at the church today you cannot say they are walking in all the blessings promised!

When you hear someone say if you obey this and do this and pray a bit longer and do this and don't do that and do this and if you do that then God will love you and bless you more - then you have just heard the Old Covenant and you have NOT heard the New Covenant.

The New Covenant says that God accepts you, loves you, favours you, accepts you not because of your performance but because of Jesus obedience and performance on your behalf. That is the New Covenant! Jesus is the superior Mediator! Where the ministry of death and condemnation finishes forever and the ministry of blessing starts forever!

The entire New Covenant can be summed up in this; Jesus is ENOUGH! All Paul's writings to Romans and Galatians can be summed up in this; Jesus plus anything equals NOTHING. Jesus plus nothing equals EVERYTHING!

The church world today is being challenged by the Spirit as to how they will align their relationship to God - a mixture of law and grace which is nothing at all or a pure atmosphere of grace of New Covenant.

I hate sin and I don't encourage sin! I hate it if it come to me! I forgive it in you! As you do to me! I do not encourage sin at all! But the time you are under the most pressure to go back to the law is when you have just done something wrong! You think if I can do enough and pray enough then I may earn my way back to God! You do not earn your way back to God - Jesus already earned your way back to God! You are ALWAYS the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! If you have just sinned don't go into gloom or condemnation then thank the Father that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and;

My disobedience does not disqualify Christ's obedience on my behalf!

I am going to talk about the other three kinks in the pipe very quickly now. Before we go to the next three points let's lift our hands and say "Father I want to transition fully into that realm of grace". Thank Him! Thank You Jesus for the New Covenant! Wonderful Jesus! We have a covenant of peace!

2. The second relationship we need to take the kinks out of is our marriage relationships.

Marriage is a wonderful picture of Christ and the church - us married people say enjoy your singleness while you can. Don't think it will complete your life because it won't! It is not for the faint hearted! Some days it doesn't feel like heaven but hell! In order to get a car license you have to study and take a test. In order to get a degree you have to study for years. But to get married all you have to do is go down the local registry office. Marriage is the most important relationship after God. It is the most sacred covenant on the planet. The covenant of marriage is left in tatters by the world and sadly the church. The divorce rate in the church in the USA is worse than the divorce rate in the world. It may be similar in other countries. Jesus showed the New Covenant by breaking bread and pouring wine and He wanted His disciples to enter into the New Covenant right there. When a married couple get married they break cake, exchange rings - that is a covenant!

The reason why God gives us a sex drive before we can express it in marriage, is that our victory in holding onto it is the victory trophy we can give to our partner. Those that have lost their trophy of sexual virginity - God can restore that trophy of virginal purity before marriage.

At the covenant meal Judas did not take part of it. He got up and walked out.

Later he betrayed Jesus with an intimate kiss. There are people who want intimacy without covenant. Then there are people that want covenant without inconvenience. But covenant means death! When you come into covenant you die to yourself to live to make that person you have entered into covenant with happy and joyful. That is why many Christians avoid water baptism because they know what water baptism means. When we are buried in that water we die to ourselves and rise to a new life living only to please God. The only way to have true life is to first have true self-death. If you do not die to self you will only smile from your face and not from your heart. People who enter a covenant of marriage with the idea that I am going into this for them to make me happy have not got the first idea of what biblical marriage is about. It is guaranteed that thing will not work unless an alignment of covenant life and God's government comes over that marriage. Unless that happens that marriage has got no hope under the sun. Married brothers and sisters - you have never given covenantal love until you have loved beyond inconvenience into sacrifice.

Love is not love until it costs you your entire life to give it away.

In 1997 Glenda and I had been married 22 years. We had a really good marriage and people saw a pretty good marriage. In 1997 God said that He would bring our marriage into covenant pattern and order. Without realising it we are absorbing the patterns from the world around us and not from the Holy Spirit. God said He would bring Kingdom order into our marriage so He could increase the anointing and authority on our lives. I want to talk about the three years of hell that we went through from 1997 to 2000. Don't think I am exaggerating. I have Glenda's permission to say this and wouldn't dare say this without it. There was no adultery or affair or third party - that had nothing to do with it. It was all about God wanting to order our marriage according to Kingdom pattern and government. There wasn't one day in three years without horror and tension and anger in our home. If you had walked past our street you would have never thought a pastor and his wife lived there. They would have heard the way Glenda shouted at me!! We shouted at each other! The anger and frustration! Every time God reminded us what we were going through this for we found temporary peace and the next day the war would start again and this went on for 3 years every day.

I didn't hurt her physically but words can hurt more sometimes. Words that she would say to me would be devastating. We would repent and cry and ask each other for forgiveness and then the war would start again. I felt the manifestation of tangible presence of demons as they tried to take advantage of the reason why we were going through this. I nearly walked out of my marriage several times during those years. Where do you go when you have been preaching marriage for all those years? Glenda knows this is the truth! I wanted to leave Australia and go and study biology and be a ranger in the wilderness of Africa. Glenda was so traumatised that she almost stopped eating very little for 3 years. The rumour went around our city that she had anorexia and that I was beating her up. The doctor was desperately trying to put her on anti-depressants. Several times she walked down to the railway line thinking strongly about throwing herself in front of the train. Every day the devil would say that I should compromise and back off or my wife would end up killing herself.

The Spirit of God said I want to realign your relationship so I can increase the anointing on your life. In the year 2000 we smelt the first permanent peace on our marriage and knew the government of God take place in our marriage and our relationship. Month after month the kingdom order of male and female government began to come into God's alignment and we felt God's peace come and stay and the trauma and pain become a thing of the past. 2003 - four years before we came to plant the church year and it was our 25th wedding anniversary. We didn't know we were coming to plant the church in Hong Kong but we decided to come to Hong Kong to celebrate it. We took a wonderful hotel overlooking the view on Central Island. On our 25th anniversary we ordered room service in our hotel. A table next to the view looking out on Hong Kong. Glenda dressed up in the most stunning dress and I put a suit and a tie on. We had three years of horror and three months of daily government of peace in our marriage. And we sat at the table and exchanged new rings and we re-stated our vows and we read our poems that we had written for each other. In the middle of that without exaggerating we both burst into tears and sob looking into each others eyes.

Because we knew the war was over and the Father was endorsing the government on our marriage. From that anniversary for the next three years we led tens of thousands of people to Christ in the crusades. None of the people knew the hell we had been through and the price we had paid for the anointing. In 2004 we came to plant the church here in July. If we didn't get this marriage right and come into kingdom government then not only would Glenda and I be divorced and our kids and grandkids be robbed, not only would people not be saved - but you wouldn't even be sitting in a church today and would be on your way to a Christ-less eternity. Not only that but a relationship that is tender and deep right now would have been lost for all time because regularly we wanted to take the easy route out.

When I look at the fruit of God getting the government right then I say to you today; "Please fight for your marriage - there is more at stake than just you being happy". It is not about your happiness - there is more about your marriage than just you being happy.

God wants to set something in order!

How did we survive the 3 years? By understanding the message of grace!

3. Our relationships with every person in this local congregation.

If your relationship is kinked in any way with anyone in this congregation then you are buckling the full flow of the anointing upon us. We all irritate each other at some point! There are people in this church that are so gracious that even when they are irritating they don't know because I am so gracious back! I am that way to some of you! But the truth is whether we are living in delusion or not - not only do people irritate you but you irritate others! That's why I believe in the church! There is no such thing as individual piety! We have love one another, accept one another! How many people have left church after church because someone offended them and now they are sitting somewhere else in some other church!?

That is fine if God has called you here - but if you left the church because someone offended you then you are sitting with a kink and left to avoid pain instead of letting the government of God sort out that relationship. And it is called being immature. There is no place for jealousy! There is no place for competing and comparing! There is no place for politics in the church! There is no place for putting on a mask or a face that is not telling the truth! Neither am I saying that you should manipulate everyone with your sulky face either! Mature people deal with their pain and ask for prayer and move on! I want to live so authentically that when I compliment a person then they know that I mean it not to just get something out of them! I want everyone to know that if I have a problem then I will come to you personally and not use the pulpit to get at you personally!

Remember Romans 15:7 says accept one another just as Christ has accepted you! How has Christ accepted you? Remember the message of grace and not law! Christ holds nothing against you at all! You are permanently forgiven! The thief on the Cross says Lord remember me when You come into Your Kingdom today! A criminal! Jesus says to this criminal TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise! Jesus went into the waiting place for three days and rose with all the people with Him! As Jesus walks back into heaven after being away for 33 years the trumpets are playing! All the angels are saying open up the gates! The King of glory is coming back! The Lion of the tribe of Judah mighty in battle! Jesus walks in His robes of majesty and glory! Arch angels singing hosanna in the highest! Right next to Jesus there is a little thief walking along! The angels say; "Jesus who's he?". "I don’t know but he asked me to accept him and I did!". "Did he speak in tongues on the Cross?". "Has he been water baptised yet?". "No there was no water!". "What's his education, his pedigree, his ancestry?". "I don't know!". "He asked me to accept him and I did! Have you got a problem with that any of the angels?!". "No Lord Jesus! If You accept him then we accept him!".

Accept one another just as Christ accepted you! Rejection and pride is because we don't understand grace and still live under the law! If you have any bitterness with anyone outside of this church - any ministry - any person, saved or not saved - if you have criticised them unjustly or gossiped about them and they don't know about it then don't go tell them! Ask the Father to forgive you and go ask those persons you gossiped to to forgive you so that kink can get right. I learnt a hard lesson here. When people come into this church and criticise other churches I should realise that sooner or later they will be criticising me! 100% it will take place. If the person knows you have gossiped about them or if you defrauded them financially by wrong business transactions or done something that is wrong to a person whether they are saved or unsaved, write to them or email them and ask them to forgive you and apologise if they know that you have done it to them.

Lets get every kink undone so that His volume of anointing can flow at full volume!

Father we thank You that Your prophesied 3 Sundays ago that a move of the Spirit is coming whether we are ready or not. That means that people that are not ready for it will not participate in it. It will come and those that are ready with their oil lamps full will go into the inner chambers of the Bridegroom but the foolish virgins who did not make themselves ready will miss the visitation of the Bridegroom. Spirit of God move! Awaken us with a holy righteous urgency! Where there is any haughtiness or high-mindedness or pride then soften it Lord before it is too late. When there is fear of submitting to You, fear of integrity and humility, fear of taking the mask off and being humble and real and honest then deliver us from stubbornness and pride in Jesus Name.

May we stand in the fullness of Your grace. Lord as we make these commitments to You to live in grace, to fight for our marriages and not give up, to be perfectly united in Christ with each other and to not gossip or be judgemental or do harm to others outside this church - we believe for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to come rushing unhindered for everyone who prepares themselves. As you order our marriages we know there is a process of pain. We will not be surprised by that pain! Deliver us from the idea of quick shallow fixes and help us to be people who persevere and endure for Your Kingdom. May the sacred honour of the covenant of marriage come upon us in joy, liberty and the genuine fear of God. I pray for every marriage here who's husband or wife is not saved or backslidden and is making it difficult then I pray that person will get saved in Jesus Name! You are the God of miracles and we believe You can do it! I pray for every single person here who is not married but wants to be married - lead them with wisdom O God to find the right person who is going on the same journey with You as they are! That the covenant of marriage would be something of Your destiny and that everyone who wants to get married in You may be married as soon as possible!

Let's stand and lift our hands. This is my desire to honour You in every area of life. Not just in one section but every part of my life. Some of you - the Holy Spirit is going to come and lovingly baptise you in death. Not the ministry of death of the Old Covenant but the revelation that you DIED and are in Christ - in covenant with your God! That your marriage covenant - you died and you are going to live for the happiness of your partner whether they appreciate it or not!"

Rob Rufus's Prophetic Song over Hong Kong!!

As I noted previously City Church International have just had a weekend of "Miracle Healing Meetings" on the Saturday night and the Sunday of last weekend and I've been listening to the MP3's of the sessions.

As I was listening to the Sunday morning session I was actually driving down to see a friend in Cheltenham and as SOON as Rob Rufus began singing the prophetic song below I began to weep and weep and weep - and couldn't stop! I have listened to the entire song a few times and put the transcript of all that Rob sung and said below the video clip in case the quality doesn't come out. Here it is. SOMETHING is happening in Hong Kong - and I fervently believe it will spread from East to the West.



Here's the transcript of the song and the following prophecy;

Rob's prophecy:

"Let's cry out to the city of Hong Kong! Father we hear Your words of love to the city of Hong Kong. We bless Hong Kong!

We declare over you - Hong Kong - that this is your time, your hour. The grace of the Lord is towards you and He does not visit you with judgement or rejection but the Father gives good gifts to you - Hong Kong! He is pouring out His glory on you - Hong Kong! He is pouring out mercy and grace! He is pouring out His love on you - Hong Kong!

The dead will rise, the lame will walk, the lonely will find family, the fathers will find their sons and the sons will find their familys in Hong Kong! Broken relationships will be restored and mother and father and children will find liberty and freedom and love in the city of Hong Kong!".

Hong Kong Trip Part 2

Well, I think I left off on the afternoon of Sunday...before the evening meeting with Joshua Mills...

Sunday night started out with woship, being led by Bonnie Rufus and a whole bunch of other worshippers from CCI. We sang many simple songs about the glory of God, including "The Glory Realm" by Ruth Heflin. It was very very good. I know, that's not very descriptive! The worship time was both powerful and intimate, and the presence of God was obvious. Now my memory is getting fuzzy, uh-oh!

I believe Joshua got up and took over at the piano once we were really getting lost in worship, he was singing songs (I think probably both songs he's written as well as prophetic/spontaneous songs) but at that point I was not completely aware of anyone else. I was deeply engaged with Jesus, having many heavenly imaginations run through my mind, I say heavenly because they seemed to be of me in heaven with Jesus. Sometimes words that Josh was singing would kind of float in and influence the direction of my thoughts. It was probably one of the more intimate experiences with God I've had in a corporate setting.

He also called out several words about people being healed of specific things, a couple of them we heard testimony of later that week at the prayer meeting. Then he spent some time teaching us about the glory realm. This was not preaching, but more a gentle but authoritative sharing of truth,wisdom, and God's word by the Spirit. More than anything, I would say it was extremely faith building, something of an impartation. He shared several amazing personal testimonies as well, including some of teleporting, but I'm not going to re-tell them here, you should listen yourself-- you won't be bored! He also took an offering of sorts and really blessed the church with the money, refusing to allow CCI to give any of it to him.

We then went home with Ryan and Kylie and stayed up too late talking again! We spent the morning hanging out with their family (somewhere along the line Aaron got his first taste of Veggiemite, which he wasn't exactly impressed with). I don't think there's any way to adequately describe how much we enjoyed getting to know Ryan and Kylie and their girls. Then Ryan dropped us off near a bank so we could exchange our money and wander around for a couple of hours. While in the bank, we saw Glenda and so we started chatting outside the bank. After a couple of minutes, Rob turned up and joined in.

We then started walking together to the point where we were going to part ways, and ended up standing in the street talking for probably 45 minutes. Finally, we left to look at a temple, and were taking pictures inside when Rob came in a couple of minutes later and asked if we'd like to eat lunch with him and Glenda. We graciously declined in favor of shopping-HAHAHA, I don't think so! We were of course thrilled and quite surprised! So we got to eat lunch with them, talking the ears off for another hour or two. This was definately one of the highlights of the whole trip for us, we got to share most of our testimony and thank them in person for making the message of grace available to so many people. And we talked about you too Dan! And shared some of Keith and Lydia's testimony as well, and probably some of you other people, you know who you are! All good things we said, don't worry.

All our friends want to know what Rob and Glenda are really like in person, so I guess I should give my impressions. I've given my impression of Glenda in the last post...so about Rob, he was less intense normally than when preaching hehe, which I think is for the best. They were very easy to talk with and very normal people, I think exactly what we would expect from listening to all the messages online. In other words, it would seem they are real people and don't bother faking it for church and ministry. I'm not sure of their impressions of us, but they seemed to like us well enough!

I don't think I mentioned this yet, but before we left, God kept telling me over and over 'they're going to love you' , meaning both me in particular and Aaron as well. That may sound strange, but in light of the fear of man problem I talked about, it was just God's kindness to me making sure I would thoroughly enjoy our time in Hong Kong and not be hindered from receiving all that God had for me there. Also, he kept showing me this glimpse of Rob laughing heartily at something I said, which I got to see in real life! I think I wrote on my own blog before leaving that I hoped they could handle me over there, it would seem that they can, and that makes me happy.

Anyway, Ryan had to hunt us down since we sort of forgot to meet him when we were supposed to...but he was very gracious about it.

Invading the Impossible - Part 7

I actually transcribed this 2nd message that Rob brought to City Church International after "Invading the Impossible - Part 6" because of the way they were numbered. However it appears that Rob actually brought "Part 7" first before the church worshipped. It must be THE shortest Rob Rufus sermon ever at about 20 minutes! However in reading it through you can see how incredibly stirring it is and how wonderfully motivating to worship. I transcribed the notes on a very quiet night shift and actually sat motionless for half an hour just meditating on the fact that Jesus Christ is exalted to the right hand of the Father and has poured out the Holy Spirit!!

Here are the notes:

“Let’s go to Acts chapter 2. We’re going to go to four Scriptures to prepare us to praise and to worship. Last week we looked at the wonderful news that Jesus is exalted to the highest place as a Man. He was God and He is God and always will be God but He gave up equality with God and took on the form of a Man. He never gave up being God but He made Himself nothing and took on the form of a Man. He was exalted to the highest place after the victory of the Cross and the Resurrection. He was exalted to the highest place and all authority in heaven and earth was given to Jesus through the victory of the Cross. The Bible says in Ephesians 1; “God has put all things under His feet and God has appointed Him to be head over all things for the church”. FOR US. There is a Man in heaven called Jesus who is exalted above everything His Name is above everything. Every knee must bow at His Name in heaven and on earth and under the earth. He has all authority in heaven and on earth. ALL. He is exalted – He has all things under His feet and He is the head of all things. FOR US. For the Church!

That revelation is the basis for the outpouring of the Spirit. As you worship Jesus today – not to try and get Him to be exalted but have a revelation right now that He is already exalted. Everything is already under His feet!

I have a cough right now but that cough is already under His feet. Now it doesn’t feel like it is under His feet right now. How many of you have situations right now that they don’t look like they are under Jesus’ feet? But they are already under His feet! Well how come they don’t feel like they are under His feet? Well because they are under His feet in the realm of the Spirit – in the realm of revelation they are under His feet! It has already happened! He is not going to put them under His feet – but has already. This has already happened!

This flu is already is under His feet but it is not under His feet in a manifestation of the earthly. This cough proves that it is not under His feet in the physical – not under His feet in my experience or the natural. It is under His feet absolutely in the realm of the Spirit – Jesus has conquered!

So what is God waiting for? He is saying to Jesus, “You sit at My right hand and we will wait until Your enemies are made Your footstool”.

What is a footstool? A footstool in the Bible is a resting place for someone who is sitting on the Throne. Jesus said in the Gospels that the earth is His footstool. So what is worshipping at His footstool?

Worshipping God is worshipping Jesus Christ because He is already exalted to the highest place even though we can’t right now experience everything under His feet but which has already happened in the Spirit. As you worship Him and praise Him then God in the earth in your experience in the natural forces the enemy to bow His knee and be under your feet and under the footstool of Jesus Christ.

That is what praise is all about! (Acts 2:32) “God has raised this Jesus to life and we are all witnesses of this fact, exalted to the right hand of God. He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you know see and hear for David did not ascend to heaven and yet he said, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet”. They are already under His feet but in the earth realm all cancer is not yet under His feet but it is under His feet in the Spirit and as we praise and exalt Him the power of God falls and then cancer becomes His footstool, flu becomes His footstool!

When you praise God extravagantly God puts your enemies under His feet on your behalf that are already in the Spirit under His feet. (Hebrews 1:13) showing that Jesus is superior to the angels. “Which of the angels did God ever say, ‘Sit at My right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’? Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who inherit salvation?”. How many of you have inherited salvation this morning? Therefore the angels are your servants ministering to you – the ‘heirs of salvation’. Angels are coming into this place to minister to you! As you praise Him and say you are exalted Lord – as you do that – everything that is under His feet in the Spirit is manifested in the earth realm in tangible, under-His-feet experience in the reality of your experience.

(Hebrews 10) – Do you have to be holy enough or good enough to earn the right to praise Him? How many of you know that God hates religion? How many of you know that in the last days the Bible warns that there will be terrible times (2 Timothy 3:5) – the Bible says there will be people with a form and appearance of godliness but who deny the power of the Gospel. What is that? Legalism! That is putting people under condemnation and under guilt and trapping them into all systems of doing things of keeping law, rules and regulations – God says, “I hate that! I started that under the law but I am displeased with that”. (Isaiah 66) – God says He hates the sacrifices and ceremonies and the law keeping – He says that is not the kingdom.

Christians today around the earth are not praising God with extravagance because many of them are held under a government of control, of legalism, of condemnation. They are not sure whether their sins are forgiven but I promise you your sins are more than forgiven – you are perfect in the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ!

Notice that God hates the law thing even though He gave it. (Hebrews 10:8) – This is Jesus speaking. “Here I am …”. He has set aside the 1st Covenant to establish the 2nd. Christians need to be established in the New Covenant – not only understand it but be established in it. (v10) – “I have been made” – it is already an accomplished fact – I have been made holy through the sacrifice of the one Body of Jesus Christ once and for all. That means you have been made holy once and forever – it is once and for all! You are sitting still when you listen to this because you don’t believe the Gospel – that is your problem! (v11) – “Again and again he offers the same sacrifice which can never take away sin but when this priest Jesus had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins He sat down at the right hand of God”. You are perfect forever because this sacrifice by this Jesus was all sufficient. ALL sufficient. You are made holy forever! Forever and ever! Nothing can change that!

(v17) – “Sins and lawless acts I will remember no more and where these have been forgiven there is no longer any sacrifice for sin”. THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO DO TO BE RIGHT WITH GOD, IT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE! He is exalted, everything is under His feet for you – now as we praise Him, He will bring it under His feet in manifestation in the earth realm. (Psalm 99:5) – “Worship at His footstool” – What is His footstool? Where He is making His/our enemies to be under His feet in reality and experience. That which is happening in the Spirit is happening in our life experience.

Songs: “He is exalted” – “How great is our God” – “Our God is an awesome God”.

Invading the Impossible - Part 5

Here is Part 5 of this ever-increasing amazing series. Parts 1 to 4 have all been transcribed and may be accessed here via the new Archive of Rob Rufus! Enjoy and be stirred by this ever increasing, ever uplifting, ever ascending series of faith-building messages! Rob is preaching on; "Refusing to Accept the Unacceptable!".

"Open your Bibles please to Philippians chapter 2. I am very excited about this message today. I have been waiting 2 weeks to preach it and it has been burning within me like a volcano. I am going to try and be gentle and gracious in the outflow of it. It's encouraging, it is going to inspire people and anoint you to invade the impossible more and more. One of the things that was so exciting about the time of prayer this morning was that as a pastor I know the difficulties people are going through - yet not one person prayed out of a spirit of self-pity and I know for some of them it looks like life isn't fair! Yet every single person prayed; "Father help us to invade the impossible, help us to help others beyond ourselves". And for me we have advanced another sequence in that stage and for that - let us give the Lord a clap just for the heaven of it!

It is so important to feed on what God is doing more than what He isn't doing. Because what He isn't doing, He is going to do. But what He is doing, we need to celebrate that!

This church is a womb that is conceiving and giving birth to first generation grace Christians around the world! Every week our stand here has been attacked for affecting hundreds of thousands of lives around the world. So if you understand the attacks that are coming to us, don't think it is disproportionate to the size we are - it is WHAT we are carrying and what we represent in the nations! I had an international Skype conference with 16 leaders of 16 different churches who were here at the Glory and Grace Conference and everyone of them said that they are progressing in signs and wonders and miracles and some of them are progressing beyond us! That is because we are three years old and they have been around much longer.

We are giving something away that is accelerating and multiplying in the hands of people we give it to.

We are a giving church - we are giving 10% of our income away mainly into China. Go for it it - get this message out anyway you can. God's people are struggling under guilt, manipulation and performance pressure, condemnation, never feeling like they deserve the blessing and always feeling like they have to earn it. But I tell you;

"No - God says that the New Covenant is a covenant of unfading glory. In the New Covenant God only looks at you through grace but under the Old Covenant God only looked at you through the law. Under the law God demanded a perfect righteousness in your performance all the time but under grace He gives you His righteousness as a gift and you are secure and you come into rest and the blessing comes just by believing - not by anything you do".

Jesus + anything = nothing. But Jesus + nothing = everything. Under grace you want to tithe! Under open heaven you long to give! But give under law and you come into curse. So we are talking about "Invading the Impossible" and this is number 5. I think this is going to be a 28 part series! In Part 4 we looked at the principle of dealing with disappointments and I want to say this very strongly. Most Christians carry a scenario or a conciousness of disappointment in their life because most of us who have stepped out in the supernatural have had some setbacks and some disappointments.

I look at the disciples and they were men of faith before the Cross but one day they stepped out to pray for a boy with a demon and they couldn't get the demon out. Jesus came and cast it out proving it was the will of God to get that demon out. Today if we try to get someone healed and they don't, we say it wasn't the will of God to heal that person. The disciples were shocked and asked why couldn't we cast that demon out? Why were they shocked? Because they had some success before in casting demons out but then they hit a disappointment. But Jesus said; "This type only come out by prayer and fasting". He DID NOT mean this type of demon only comes out by prayer and fasting. Every demon has lost authority and must come out in the Name of Jesus. There is no hierarchy of demon that can resist you unless you have fasted and prayed. If you believe that lie, every demon will tell you; "I am the kind that only come out by prayer and fasting and you haven't fasted". So you wait for a week fasting and in that time the demon kills the person. Jesus was saying this kind of unbelief comes out by prayer and fasting. You can have faith to cast out demons but if you have disappointment that will hinder your faith.

Most people with disappointments have prayed for someone who has died and they back off and develop a theology to accomodate the abscence of miracle success in Christian life.

If you do not deal with disappointment effectively, then disappointment will effectively deal with you. It is our responsibility and our accountability before God to monitor our hearts and make sure we do not tolerate disappointment and do not allow disappointment to fashion our theology, philosophy or view of the kingdom of heaven. It is to the degree that we effectively deal with disappointment that we will effectively advance and invade the impossible and force the impossible to bow it's knee to Jesus.

What is the power of disappointment? It gives power to the things we don't understand to rob us of the things we do understand. Then we begin to trade truth for lies. I have heard the most diabolical lies told me by Christians who in their disappointment have begun to find ways to explain why the dead aren't being raised and blind eyes aren't being opened, the deaf aren't hearing, the cripples aren't walking. Jesus said the works that He did - greater works shall we do! Jesus healed them ALL - the early church in Acts healed them ALL. We spoke about Philippians 4 and how in disappointment we must; "Rejoice always, again I say rejoice!". Not rejoice in your disappointment but rejoice in the Lord! Why? Because the Lord understands your disappointment and understands your pain and has an answer.

It is one of the most difficult things to rejoice in the Lord when you are disappointed - you want to lick your wounds and have a pity party. But a pity party is one of the most lonely parties on the planet. It's just you! Now rejoice in the Lord always! Then Paul goes on; "Be anxious for nothing but in everything with prayer and petition make your request known to God with thanksgiving and the peace that passes understanding will guard your heart in Christ!".

When the peace that passes understanding comes on you then the things you don't understand no longer have power to rob you of the things you do understand and God begins to open the eyes of your understanding and give you revelation on how to invade the impossible.

Those disciples failed and were disappointed but you look further on and find that they overcame their disappointment and raised the dead and saw cripples walking and deaf ears opened!

The majority of Christians in the Western world do not operate in supernatural ministry, do not cast out devils, do not heal the sick on the level of the book of Acts. The majority! Why? Because they have been taught wrong and been taught that it has passed away or because they have tried and have failed in their disappointment and in their disappointment allow themselves to be robbed of the things they do understand by the things they don't understand.

Today - "Invading the Impossible Number 5" - we are talking about REFUSING to accept the unacceptable! What you tolerate will ultimately dominate you, your family, your children and generations to come. When I say what should we refuse to accept - let your minds respond to Scripture not religious propaganda. What is unacceptable? In Romans 12:2 Paul writes; "Do not be conformed any longer to the pattern of this world". Now the pattern of this world has it's foundation in the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. "Do not be patterned or conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds so you can prove what is the perfect acceptable will of God!".

As your mind is transformed by divine encounters with the manifest glory of God - when you encounter the glory of God in power - your mind is transformed and then you are able to prove what is the acceptable, pleasing will of God.

What is the will of God Jesus? "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!". What is the will of God that is acceptable? AS IN HEAVEN - SO ON EARTH! How long will it take a person riddled with cancer, blindness and stiffness to get healed when they step into heaven? It's an instant thing! What is unacceptable? Friends, everything that contradicts what is in heaven. Where is the proof of someone doing that? Jesus healed them ALL! He said: "I have given you keys - what you bind on earth is bound in heaven, what you lose on earth, is loosed in heaven!". But because of disappointment we have begun to accept the unacceptable.

It is unacceptable that there are sex child slave trades in Africa! It is unacceptable that you can go into hospitals that the wards at 02:00 are filled with people like a battle zone with people lying in comas in the passageway! If the early church in Acts was around they would be bringing great crowds to gather and all would be healed!

But because the church has allowed legalism and the traditions of men and toxic streams to come into the pure stream that started in the book of Acts, we have nullified the Word of God's power and we accept the unacceptable and we allow disappointments to make us cynical and skeptical and we lose our innocence and child-like pure simple faith in Jesus Christ.

30, 000 abortions in Hong Kong every year - that means 30, 000 babies in the most vulnerable place that should be the safest place are ripped out the womb and thrown into a rubbish box and it is accepted in the name of civilisation and science because of the mother's rights! What about the baby's rights? We are called to invade the impossible and make the impossible bow it's knee to the church and I am talking primarily about signs and wonders and miracles, but that includes toppling evil and social injustice. One of the most difficult things to try and persuade non-Christians is that Jesus is God. He is eternal God, always God, self-created, self-sufficient, Beginning and End, eternity exists in Him!

But one of the things that is more difficult is to try and persuade Christians that when Jesus left heaven and came to earth He came with none of His divinity in operation. That He was as much man as if He was not God. All of His divinity was 100% restrained within His humanity and He did nothing on this earth as God but did EVERYTHING on this earth as last Adam. As man. He had no advantages over you for invading the impossible.

When Jesus did miracles He was not trying to show us what God could do but to show us what man could do through being rightly related to God.

Jesus lived an ordinary Christian life and set the new norm for Christianity. Before He left this planet He did not announce that the norm He had set would reduce. The very opposite! He said that the norm would go up not down! He said; "Truly, truly I say to you ANYONE that gets rid of the idea that the miracles past away when the first 12 apostles died, truly, truly ANYONE who believes on Me, the miracles I have been doing but even greater works will you do because I am going to the Father".

Greater is the new norm! But what has the Church done? Let the things we don't understand rob us of the things we do understand. There is no argument against this! We are going to look at what did Jesus do when He went to the Father that means we can do greater works? Let me read something to you before we go to Philippians 2. I wrote this down yesterday and I just want to read it to you;

"People say to me that if you go around telling Christians that they are already holy, that they are already righteous, that they are already perfect in God's eyes through grace, that they are 100% accepted in Christ and that God doesn't disapprove of you whatsover because you have obtained a righteousness apart from the law - apart from your performance and apart from your obedience or disobedience but entirely on the obedience of the one Man Jesus Christ (Romans 5:19). A righteousness that is unconditional, permament standing that you have before God every second of every moment of every hour of every day. They say if you tell Christians this, it will make them arrogant and puffed up.

The question I want to ask you - did Jesus knowing that He was equal with God in nature make Him arrogant? No it gave Him the opposite attitude and effect and He humbled Himself. You knowing that God will never see your sins or hold anything against you doesn't make you arrogant - it makes you so secure that you no longer grasp after righteousness through the law but find rest in your identity as already having a righteousness that is equal to God's righteousness. God's righteousness is revealed in the gospel as a gift for you and you humble yourself, knowing this doesn't make you arrogant but makes you want to weep with wonder and joy - My God finds no fault in me! He gave me His righteousness! The righteousness you and I have as Christians is equal with God! This awarness inspires you to reach out as a servant and touch people with miracle working power to heal them, to restore them and topple evil off their lives.

Self-righteousness causes insecurity and an overbearing attitude that dominates others and at best patronises people in a complete abscence of the supernatural power of God".

I have watched as this message has gone out, week after week, month after month for the last 3 and a half years - the effect it is having on people here is that they are becoming less self-concious and are reaching out to touch other people's lives. Self-righteous people are insecure, live under condemnation, or arrogance, always trying to prove themselves but the righteousness of God brings security. Alright let's read this quickly;

"This is the attitude that will bring you and me to the highest level of authority and power that God wants every human Christian to walk under".

(Philippians 2:5); "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus who being in very nature God did not consider equality with God something to be grasped but made Himself nothing taking the nature of a servant being made in human likeness". What does being made in "human likeness" mean? It means being made just like us!

But you say - but He was perfectly righteous all the time! So are you. In Christ Jesus. You see if you hesitate and say; "Well I am not righteous all the time" you are still living dominated by Old Covenant mentality. Under the Old Covenant righteousness was demanded through keeping the law perfectly. One failure and one part of the law would bring you instantly under curse and the glory would fade. New Covenant - you are righteous in God's eyes all the time as a gift therefore the glory never needs to fade. So when you think of Jesus having an advantage because He never sinned and always walked righteously, you are still thinking Old Covenant because God sees you as righteous all the time. "Being found in appearance as a man". As a man. As a man. As a man. It is difficult to convince Christians that Jesus was as much man as if He were not God at all.

If He had access to His divine attributes while on earth, then why did He need to be baptised in the Holy Spirit like we do? He did no miracles before the Holy Spirit came upon Him. The Holy Spirit didn't come upon Him as God. The Holy Spirit doesn't need to come on God! The Holy Spirit came on the Man Jesus. That's why you can do the works He did because you are a man as He is.

He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on a Cross therefore God exalted Him". Therefore GOD exalted Him. God exalted Him! Him! To the highest place! "And gave Him the Name that is above every Name that at the Name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father". The two vital questions I want to ask and then answer them.

1. Was Jesus exalted to the highest place as God or as man?

I can tell you right now from the authority of Scripture that He was not exalted to the highest place as God. You cannot exalt God to the highest place - it is BLASPHEMY to think that. He is God and therefore always be definition in the highest place. Creator of all things! He IS highest place!

Jesus had occupied highest place as God but didn't grasp after it. He gave up that equality with God and was found in the appearance as a man and became a servant obedient unto death on the Cross. What we are doing today is not a lecture to entertain your mind - but you need revelation in your spirit. What we are going into - we have to do the Kingdom stuff through revelation. Because one day we will have to stand before God and give account - not to decide whether we are going to heaven or hell. If you are in Christ that is secured forever and ever. God threw away the keys to your cell in hell and burnt it in oblivion. You are going to heaven but friends you are going to have to give an account. Did you sit under revelation when the earth was being filled with the glory of the Lord - did you sit in churches and say, "Oh I know this stuff".

Was I responsible for that revelation? Yes there will be no excuse for ignorance. Everyone on this earth can have access to revelation. Philippians 2 says the grace of God has appeared to ALL men. There is available access for revelation for every human being right now. Jesus was exalted to the highest place as a Man. So in heaven today there is a Man living in the highest place in heaven and on earth!

How did that happen and why?

An angel called Lucifer created by God to lead worship in heaven (pray for worship leaders - they come under the most demonic attack because Satan is jealous about God being worshipped) - he was a worship leader yet jealousy and pride was found within him. He said he wanted to be equal to God and was thrown instantly from heaven like lightening. On earth he came to Adam and said; "You will be equal to God" - in other words Adam had to exalt himself. Remember the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Adam did not take only the evil out of the tree and leave the good. So goodness is as much part of the fall of man as evil. Goodness is man's self-righteousness grasping after righteousness and the law that brings a curse on his life. It is a deception of the devil that legalistic religions are in the earth today.

Everyone who practices legalism does not understand that they are operating under satanic deception to try and seek self-rightousness through their own effort of the law and ceremonies and what they do.

Satan wanted Adam to do what Satan had done in heaven. He wanted Adam to try and exalt himself to be equal with God. Why did he try and do that? Because he knew that Adam had a delegated authority from God to have dominion on the earth. What is the kingdom? It is the dominion of the king! So Adam as a man - an ordinary man - had been given authority from the King of kings to have dominion on the earth. To subdue the earth and Satan knew that if Adam fell for the deception, he would lose that delegated authority like Satan lost it in heaven and Satan knew he could steal the delegated authority from Adam and operate in that delegated authority from Adam in the earth. Before the Cross he was called the "god of this world".

When wars are happening and 9/11 and poverty and insurance companies call it an act from God, they are right but it's not our God! It's Satan! Disasters aren't from our God! Our God gives a church an authority to invade and topple evil bu the church sits on it's blessed assurance and sings hymns and trades truth for lies so God has to raise up another generation and lives a life that is all about my inner healing and what I want. My convinience and if I get offended or disappointed I will trade truth for lies! God is not coming to this earth to stop evil but God is giving His church an authority to invade the impossible and topple the impossible and topple evil. The Church is busy waiting at the rapture bus stop and bemoaning how the devil is so bad and church is so bad and "Jesus take me home!". God is looking at His man Adam and He gave him authority to do the job on the earth. He fell into the trap and tried to exalt himself through self-righteousness.

So Satan stole his authority so now God can't just come to earth and smash the devil out of the planet. Because Satan is operating in an original heaven-sent authority to Adam! What does God do? He does not grasp after equality with God but does the opposite to the devil and makes Himself nothing and God comes in the appearance of a man and walks this planet and when He finally faces the devil, He does not face the devil with the authority of God but with the same authority the devil has. Now He is operating in last Adam's delegated authority from God but as a man. So when the devil tempts Him, Jesus doesn't dispute the devil's right and say; "They're not yours to give!". He doesn't dispute that! He says; "I will only worship God and Him alone will I worship". So Jesus operated in delegated authority as second Adam but Jesus never gives in to the temptation and goes to the Cross and dies on the Cross.

If you read Romans 5 essentially on the Cross it wasn't your sin being forgiven - read Romans 5. It was essentially Adam's sin being cancelled! The Bible clearly says that through the sin of one man, death reigned through the human race! What was his sin? Trying to be equal with God and gave his authority to the devil. So what was the power that was still holding first Adam's sin and giving Satan the operation of delegated authority he stole from first Adam?

It was that the law was introduced for sin to increase. The law of God was never introduced to put sin down! The power of sin increased when the law came. Who wrote the law? God wrote the law on 10 Commandments with His finger. Who cancelled the 10 Commandments? God at the Cross in Colossians 2:14; "Having cancelled the written code ... having disarmed the authorities at the Cross".

He cancelled first Adam's sin and cancelled the devil's authority that he stole from first Adam.

When He said; "It is finished!" and rose from the dead, Jesus then said something He could never have said before the Cross. He said in Matthew 28; "ALL authority in heaven and on earth". ALL authority. If someone has got ALL then someone has got zero! Zero is a circle. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me - now go and disciple NATIONS!

Now the second question;

2. Was that ALL authority given to Jesus as God or as a Man?

It was given to Him as Man! You cannot give ALL authority to God! He has all authority! As God, Jesus had all authority but He did the opposite to Satan and didn't hang on to it but humbled Himself and became a Man then cancelled first Adam's sin and cancelled principalities and powers.

Preaching the Law is re-arming principalities and powers when we preach the written code to the Church.

He arose from the dead and inherited all authority in the earth as a MAN! And then was exalted to the highest place so that at His Name every knee in heaven and earth must bow! The answer is that He re-inherited it as a man not as God!

Now the next question is; did He get exalted to the highest place with everything under His feet for Himself or for you? Because if He did it for Himself then we just worship Him. But if He did it for you and you don't seek to find out why then you are responsible for the gross-est ignorance on the planet! If Jesus went through all He went through to get back into heaven exalted to the highest place with everything under His feet for you and you don't know about it then what is it? Eat food, pass it through your body, grow old, do a few kind deeds, write in your diary. The people who get revelation that He did not just do all this for Himself - a MAN is in the highest place sitting alongside God.

Never in the history of the planet has the devil ever been under the feet of a man. He has always been under the feet of God. In heaven he was leading worship but under God. Then he came to Adam and gets him under his feet almost immediately. He keeps mankind under ignorance and under his feet straight away in insane, fanatical churchianity. Then another Man called Jesus comes. He doesn't put the devil under His feet while He walks the earth but neither does the devil put Him under his feet. Upto the Cross the devil has never been under the feet of a man, he has always been under the feet of God. God is not the problem in the earth because the earth was made for man. Man must govern the earth under God - man must rule the earth. Satan has come in with principalities and rulers and has come over philosophies and political economic systems and is governing whole nations and regions. Jesus said that the Kingdom in heaven will come into earth and topple illegitimate authorities and evil.

But how can I do that if human beings are under the feet of a devil? For government to come into this earth that is righteous, human BEINGS must put the devil under THEIR feet! And none of us could because we are human beings! But ONE human being came and at the Cross cancelled his authority that had reigned for thousands of years through cancelling the LAW then as a man exalted to the highest place FOR YOU. (Ephesians 1). I am not preaching a normal pastor's message here. I need a shepherd to hold my hand and cry with me.

But the church won't tolerate prophets and apostles - the church wants to stone them! Without apostles and prophets the church goes into weakness. The church goes into the absence of the miraculous - the church goes into church programmes that can grow churches into the thousands but no one is coming out of wheelchairs and deaf ears aren't opening and blind eyes aren't opening and it is seen as success but it has got NOTHING to do with the Book of Acts church that has got the power of God and signs and wonders. We cannot settle for anything so subnormal!

There is an international audience that needs to hear this. Let's see why He was exalted to the highest place as a man. (Ephesians 1v17); "That the glorious Father may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation ... the eyes of your heart may be enlightened ... the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints ... for us who believe ... and God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him (a man) to be head over everything". What for? Who for? "The church which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in everyway". He has been appointed the head of all things - what for? His Father? Himself? For the angels? For the CHURCH! A man has been appointed with everything under His feet for US! Principalities, rulers, darkness, cancer, blindness, poverty, broken families, marriages, EVERYTHING was put under HIS feet for YOU! When He says "Every knee must bow" - He is not talking about your knees but the knees of demons, Satan, premature death, sickness, cancer - THEIR knees bow to the Name of Jesus because He has put all things under HIS feet FOR you so that you can walk into the impossible and make all things bow!

The message of grace has GOT to get out! It is the number one reason for the abscence of the miraculous! You don't invade the impossible because your feet are so powerful. You don't invade the impossible because of your holiness or your power.

In Acts 3 Jesus has only been in heaven for a few weeks and spent time talking to His disciples about the Kingdom. His rule breaks people free from hatred and bitterness, from being bound to wheelchairs. He told them that and said; "I am out of here and I am going to the highest place where everything will be put under My feet for you - now you go knowing that everything is under My feet and you watch - everything will bow". In Acts 3 and they are walking to the Gate Beautiful and they turn to the man and fix their eyes. 3 or 4 times I have had the experience where a cripple calls out and I fix my eyes and I know that I know they are coming out that wheelchair. "Silver and gold we don't have but what we do have - we give to you. In the Name of Jesus rise up and walk". That man had been crippled since birth and he went walking and leaping and praising God! (Acts 3:12); "Men of Israel why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power and holiness ..." (v16) "It is by faith in the Name of Jesus that this man who you SEE and KNOW that this man has been made whole". These boys understood something that the modern church person hasn't got a clue about. Not a clue! They understood that everything was under the feet of Jesus already!

Now God waits in heaven for His enemies to be made His footstool by His church walking in. Please don't let the devil come to your mind and say this to you; "You cannot invade the impossible until you have got everything under your feet first - those sins, those habits, those cycles, those bad character flaws - until you have got those sorted and under your feet, don't bother to try and invade me the impossible". Don't bother talking to the devil too much but when you do say; "I am going to slap you sideways - shut up! The Bible does not say I can invade the impossible by having everything under my feet but because everything is under HIS feet! And I am a man! And my new theme song devil is "These boots are made for walking!".

Deal with disappointment, never give up! When you see this you will say "Blow this I am sick and tired of being dominated by a devil already under Jesus feet". (Luke 9:1); "Power and authority to drive out ALL demons and to cure diseases and He sent them out to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick". People say that is the 12 apostles. Rubbish - every Christian is a priest. (Luke 10:1); He called the 12 then the 72 then the 500. "After this the Lord appointed the 72 and sent them to every place where He was about to go". (v17); "The 72 returned with joy".

If you aren't living the normal Christian lifestyle then you are living a psychologically managed lifestyle based on how people are treating you.

You get out in the miraculous and get out where the real needs are. If you just stay sitting with self-sufficient people then you will not see miracles, but when you go where the needs are THEN you will see the impossible invaded!

This church is going to care for thousands of orphans. We want to buy land in China with the governments help and care for dying AIDS people and show dignity to them. We are going to buy buildings in Hong Kong that will cost 10's of millions of dollars and we will pay cash and we will have hundreds of pastors full time and we will write books. People in Hong Kong will say - it doesn't matter how sick you are, just go into City Church and lay there in your cot and as these vibrant people worship, the Glory Cloud will come upon you and you will get healed! And to do that I MUST push through all this resistance I am feeling today.

Because if someone isn't fighting this resistance then it isn't being fought. People so quickly go back to the lowest denominator of their comfort. No wonder the prophets aren't liked because they will not let the church settle in comfort! They keep challenging unbelief and false theology! We are the end-day generation and if years go by and the revelation of grace stays shallow, it will be too late for some people. "Even the demons submit to us ... I give you authority to trample on snakes and scorpians and overcome all the power of the enemy". Overcome some of the power? No - ALL! And NOTHING will harm you! The devil throws thoughts into most of your mind and tries to deceive them as God. It isn't God! We can stop the bird making a nest in my hair!

The devil has picked a fight with the wrong person - I don't know how to give up! I don't know how! Some people know how but appear like they haven't! Some give up and yet go through false theology and go through the motions. If I give up I will go. Hong Kong will have a book of Acts church! It doesn't need another charismatic church! You won't get this! This church will never change! We are going Book of Acts or nothing! They are not looking for the Kingdom - they are looking for a semi-senile Santa Claus! They are coming and we look normal initially and then people run! Don't get angry with me! Get angry with Jesus! Tell Him! So many email me every week and tell me "Don't back off!". We are talking about people that don't want to live a boring little life, people who want to invade the impossible!

When Jesus was exalted to the highest place for us then what do we do with that!? It is not about me or Glenda - it's about Him! The Lamb! It is worth having your tongue cut off for Him! Because when you are resurrected, your tongue will praise the Lamb far more than those who never did anything. This place is mean to people. 30% of the population is suffering depression! Yet the church is having charismatic meetings without kingdom! We need apostles and prophets who stand up and say "This is heavenly vision!". Stop looking at you - stop looking at your past and your success rate or failure rate! Look at Him and what is under His feet! God will keep our enemies alive until they see us leading churches of thousands with miracles and the Kingdom advancing.

(Romans 16:20) "The God of peace will soon crush Satan under YOUR feet". This is a question. Whose feet is the God of peace going to use to crush Satan? His feet or your feet? YOUR feet! Because they are already under Jesus feet and Jesus is a man and the devil is legally under His feet so they can be under your feet irrespective of your performance!

People today look at the Promised Land of signs and wonders and miracles where orphans are cared for and evil governments are toppled and they say; "It's too challenging for me - put me back under the slavery of the Law". But Christians are saying today; "Come what may I must fulfill the purpose of God in my generation". The previous generation did not invade the impossible. I am a Caleb and a Joshua. I am going to lead many people under the age of 40 into the Promised Land. If you are over 40 then join me. Don't give up! Don't let disappointment steal you! Get into worship and you will see the impossible invaded!

The theme was "The Manifest Presence of God". Bonnie Rufus also spoke at a session for worship leaders here. I have started listening to the first session of Rob's and he shared something about Bonnie, I didn't know before. Apparantly while Glenda was expecting her, God spoke to Rob and said that Bonnie would play keyboards in ministry and demons would be expelled as she ministered. When Bonnie was dedicated as a baby by Dudley Daniel, he too (not knowing what God had said to Rob) prophesied that Bonnie would play keyboards and demons would be expelled as she ministered to! So it is a session worth hearing!
